Bill experienced a radical conversion to Christ while attending the University of Tennessee in 1979. With his wife Connie, he began full-time Christian ministry in 1981. Bill and Connie pioneered campus churches in California, Arizona and New Mexico. In 1982 Bill began traveling to African countries and moved in 1987 to Johannesburg, South Africa, where they planted His People Christian Church which grew to 2,000 members and became an apostolic base for church planting in Africa. Over the next 18 years Bill worked with leaders to plant churches and campus ministries in every major city in South Africa. He also served leaders and churches in 12 African nations.
In 2005 Bill and Connie established a second base in Nashville, Tennessee, while simultaneously moving their African base to Cape Town, South Africa. They now serve churches and leaders in Africa and the United States with focus on revival, reformation and cultural transformation. Bill and Connie are currently pioneering a leadership alliance called BMosaic, a gathering of Jesus-centered, relationally-connected and kingdom-minded leaders who partner for the purpose of bringing the glory of His kingdom everywhere. They are also launching a new church in Cape Town called Journey of Grace.
Bill holds a Master’s degree in organizational leadership and a Doctorate in strategic leadership. His wife, Connie, is the founder of Redemptive Solutions, a Christian counseling practice. They have three sons—Ben, Adam, and Ethan—and one daughter, Melody.
Bill is the author of Unstoppable Kingdom: An Apostolic Leadership Culture and Transformation. This book is about people creating a culture where entire cities can be loved into the kingdom. It demonstrates a culture where the beliefs, values and behaviors of heaven become characteristic of a community of people to bring sustainable change.
